Dear Members
As you will all know, Park Wood Golf Club were the Champions at the inaugural ORIDA Chairmans Cup. Our captain Steve Semple led our team to an overwhelming victory over our competitors Oakland Park Golf Club. The hand cut crystal cup now sits proudly in our trophy cabinet securely in the Park Wood Club House.
The ORIDA Chairmans Cup was not only a victory for us in the golfing sense but it was a true victory in all aspects of our wonderful golf club. Our visitors were truely amazed at the warmth and hospitality that they were greeted with as soon as they set foot into our club house. They were full of praise of our large clubhouse with tables dressed so elegantly. Our golf course did not fail to impress and the HUGE improvements made out on the golf course did not go unnoticed. The day was capped off with an exceptional 3 course meal with live music.
We at management continue to receive emails and positive comments from Oakland Park with regards to the event! We are certainly feeling very proud of the club and we trust that all our Members are feeling the same.
The return leg of the competition will take place on April 23rd and we have been told that OPGC are determined to take the cup away from us. Please put this in the diary as we are sure that this will be another excellent day and we need the full team to ensure we keep the cup in its right place...here at Park Wood.
